Getting your items ready to sell is a very important step and is crucial to helping your items sell quickly. Spending a little extra time will mean more $$$ for you! Please Read Carefully!
CLOTHING
Items with tears, holes, or stains will not be accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS!
All clothing items must be on hangers with the hook facing left. Wire hangers are best (and cheapest). Most dry cleaners can provide them. Plastic hangers are also accepted. Hangers will not be returned to you.
For 2 piece outfits, do NOT pin the pants under the shirt or to the bottom of the shirt. Pin the pants on the outside of the shirt, to the top angled part of hanger so that it is secure and visible to the shopper.
Do not put clothing in baggies (except socks and accessories).
Safety pin the tag on the right side (if you are looking at it) OR on the actual tag of the garment if the fabric is sensitive. This makes the tag visible as shoppers are looking through clothing. You may use a tagging gun if you have one.
Zip-tie, string tie... (just tie!) SHOES together or if they are small enough, you can put them in a baggie. PLEASE BE SELECTIVE ON SHOES...because we will be! No worn/scuffed shoes!
TOYS, FURNITURE, BOOKS, SPORTING EQUIPMENT, BABY GEAR
Anything that requires batteries must have batteries in it. It has to be able to be tested for working order.
Items such as bottles, books, socks, bibs, etc.. will need to be put into baggies. There is a minimum price of TWO DOLLARS so you may have to group some items together to achieve this price. Grouped items sell better!
Price tags need to be taped on items other than clothes. If the items are in a baggy, place the tag on the OUTSIDE of the baggy. DO NOT TAPE OVER THE BAR CODE!!
If a manual is included with your item, please include it in the baggy or tape it securely to the item.
Car seats should never have been in a car accident and cannot be over 5 years old.
General guidelines and tips
PRICING GUIDELINE: We recommend pricing clothes at 25-30% of retail price. Baby Gear can be priced slightly higher at 50-75% depending on condition and demand. Be realistic when you price your items, no one will pay full price for a used item! Keep in mind you can always discount to half off the second day.
There is a price minimum of TWO dollars.
All items must be entered and tagged with printable tags via website. PRINT YOUR TAGS ON CARDSTOCK ONLY. NO PAPER TAGS ACCEPTED!
Make sure your items are secure. Don't put kids clothes on adult hangers or vice versa. If your garment is not secure to the hanger, safety pin it so that it won't fall off!!! Please do not use clothes pins or straight pins.
Please button, snap, and zip! This will help us check your items in faster!
Don't forget this is a Fall/Winter sale. If it is questionable as to what season your garment is, we will most likely accept it! Only summery items like bathing suits will be turned away. Save those for our summer sale!
